What we do
Solar Panel Installation Cornwall is a lead generation service for solar PV work across Cornwall, run by Tally Digital Ltd. We don't climb onto roofs, we don't fit panels, and we don't show up at your door with scaffolding. What we do is connect you — quickly and without fees — with the local solar installer most suited to your specific job.
The model is simple. You tell us what you need (postcode, property type, system size you're thinking about, any urgency). We match you with a Cornwall-based installer covering your area and tell you who first. If you say yes, they survey, quote you direct, you pay them direct, the job goes ahead. The transaction is between you and the installer; we step out once the match is made.
Why we built this
Solar PV in Cornwall has been transformed by 0% domestic VAT, the Smart Export Guarantee, falling panel prices and improving battery storage. But the buyer experience is still terrible. National lead-aggregator websites take details, sell them to 4-6 installers, and you spend two weeks fielding cold calls and inflated quotes from companies who've paid £40-£80 per lead and need to claw it back from your install price. That's the model we exist to break.
By focusing only on Cornwall and only on solar work, we know the realistic prices and the local conditions. You get an introduction to one local installer (not 4-6), and only if you say yes; the installers get a qualified lead with no platform fees taken from their quote.
How it actually works
- You submit a quote request via our form or by email — name, postcode, property type, approximate system size, any urgency.
- We match you with a Cornwall installer covering your postcode, for your type of job (domestic, commercial, agricultural, holiday let, battery retrofit). We tell you who first, and only pass your details on if you say yes.
- If you say yes, the installer arranges a site survey, discusses your goals (offset bills, EV charging, battery storage), and provides a written quote.
- You decide whether to go ahead. No pressure from us, no follow-ups unless you ask.
- Job goes ahead between you and the installer — survey, DNO application (G98 or G99), scaffolding, install, commissioning, MCS certification, Smart Export Guarantee paperwork all direct.
Our promises
- No fee to you, ever. Quotes are free, matching is free, and we never add a margin to what the installer charges. Installers we introduce you to may pay us a fee; it never changes the price you're quoted.
- Honest payback figures. We don't quote you 4-5 year paybacks. South-West England yields ~950-1,050 kWh per kWp per year (Energy Saving Trust figure); honest payback in Cornwall is 8-12 years domestic, 5-8 years commercial/agricultural. Anyone promising better is misleading you.
- Honest about what we are. We're a lead gen service, not an installer. Footer disclosure on every page; this About page exists so you can verify before contacting us.
- Your data stays minimal. We only collect what's needed to match you — see our privacy notice.
